For high school students taught by a college business major, this course will prepare you to enter an undergraduate business or economics program and expose you to many of the topics you will learn about in your first few years of college. In this course you will learn how to evaluate companies and decide whether to buy, sell, or hold shares based on all of the available data. You will learn where to find company statements and how to read and analyze a company's balance sheet to understand their financial position. You will also learn how to evaluate the state of the economy to predict future stock fluctuations. Finally, you will be exposed to different company evaluation techniques such as Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis along with the Efficient Market Hypothesis so that you can choose your preferred evaluation technique.
